Spanish Black Belt launches new Spanish program for government personnel and diplomats.

March 1, 2007, Washington, D.C.—Spanish Black Belt is pleased to now offer busy government employees an effective new way to learn the Spanish language skills that are essential for their professional roles.

In March, Spanish Black Belt launched its new Government Program, based on an innovative curriculum tailored especially for individuals who work in all levels of government. Unlike at other language tutoring companies, students of SBB’s Government Program don’t waste time with lessons they will never use. Courses focus on mastering topics of conversation that are key to their professional success.

“The new government curriculum is great because students focus on learning the vocabulary and expressions that they will use in their jobs,” said Santiago Anria, Development Coordinator for Spanish Black Belt. “We continually have government employees signing up who want to learn Spanish for work-related projects and their progress with this new curriculum is really astounding.”

The program currently offers courses in six different subject areas, where students can learn Spanish that pertains specifically to public policy, law enforcement, immigration, business and trade, social services and customer service. In addition, the program incorporates the necessary skills to hold everyday conversations in the workplace with Spanish-speaking colleagues and clients.
