Black Belt Expands Tutoring to Boston Area
Boston,
MA, September 10, 2009 —The Washington, D.C.
based Spanish language tutoring company Spanish
Black Belt initiated its newest branch this week
in the Boston metropolitan area, offering its renowned
services to an area with one of the fastest growing
Latino populations in the United States. Classes
officially kicked off Sept. 9, 2009, in Back Back,
Beacon Hill, South End and the Financial District.
“I am very excited about it because this is
an area with a large Latino population,” said
Canales, noting that the Boston area is about 14.4
percent Latino. “This has created a general
interest within the locals in learning Spanish as
a second language.”
According
to Canales, Spanish Black Belt’s timing as
far as opening a branch in Boston could not have
been better. “The
Latino population has grown 37 percent between 1990
and 2000, and more professionals and companies are
very interested in learning the language so that
they are able to target the Hispanic segment,”
he said. “Having bilingual employees could
be their key to success.”
